The highly anticipated “Deadpool and Wolverine” trailer is here, reuniting fan-favorite characters for a wild ride. It’s the third Deadpool movie, but the first within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Get ready for a brawl! The trailer features Deadpool and Wolverine in a brutal, comedic fight set to Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.”
“I’m about to lose everything,” Deadpool laments to Wolverine. Wolverine’s stoic reply? “Not my problem.” Cue the action: claws slash, bullets fly.
But don’t worry, these two become unlikely friends. The trailer cuts to them sharing lunch, with Deadpool asking, “Should we talk about your issues now, or wait for the usual flashback scene?”
This movie brings back Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, who supposedly died in 2017’s “Logan.” Now, both mutants are getting introduced to the MCU.
The wait has been long. It’s been nearly six years since “Deadpool 2,” and even longer since the conclusion of Fox’s X-Men franchise. Thankfully, Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox opened the door for these characters to join the MCU party, alongside the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.
The hype is real. The first “Deadpool and Wolverine” trailer, released during the Super Bowl, shattered viewership records, garnering a whopping 365 million views in 24 hours and surpassing “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
Expect an R-rated riot. The trailer shows Deadpool, fresh from a kidnapping by the Time Variance Authority (from “Loki”), navigating the world of the Avengers.
Directed by Shawn Levy, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, and more.
“Deadpool and Wolverine” lands in theaters on July 26th, penned by a team including Reynolds himself, and promises a hilarious and action-packed entry into the MCU.
